Liz from Marden and her new puppy Buddy!

After loosing the last of our black Standard Poodles, we decided to breed from Bindi, our apricot bitch. We found a superb red stud, and waited months for her to be ready, and eventually on 25th September she gave birth to 9. We made the decision to keep a male for a change, and the personality differences are very obvious to us. Buddy is now 4 months old, over 15kg, and in what I can only describe as the terrible 2s. He is now becoming naughty, toilet training great as long as he isn't busy doing something else at the time, and our poor cat sometimes regrets coming in without checking for an escape route. He is the most endearing little terror you could know!

Buddy went to one of the PSP puppy parties, and it certainly helped him with socialization. From the timid one hiding under the chair, he was out and playing with the other puppies quite quickly. We are now looking forward to some good weather and longer walks.

Agility awards: December 2009

One of our vets Nicola and her dog Maddy won 1st place in the Damien Memorial cup for the owner and that has persevered the most and the dog which has progressed the most at dog agility in 2009.  Maddy is a rescue dog from Last Chance Rescue.  She had a rough start in life and came to Nicola with many problems, a lot of which has been ironed out.  Maddy started agility with Ditto agility club October '08 and progressed well.  She was sadly attacked by a Rottweiler in the summer which put her back a long way, but she started back at agility once she recovered and has been doing extremely well.  She absolutely loves it and is her most happiest and relaxed when 'jumping'!

Saffi, who is owned by our Tenterden receptionist Sandra, won 1st place for winning the most points out of all the Ditto agility members during 2009 when competing at Kennel club agility shows.

Scamp!

Nicola, one of our vets recently rescued Scamp from South east dog rescue.  He is a wire haired fox terrier crossed with a Jack Russell Terrier we think!  He had a bad start in life and ended up in a foster home at the age of 10 weeks!  Nicola found out about him, met him and fell in love straight away.  He now lives very happily with her other dog Maddy.  Scamp goes everywhere with Nicola and Maddy and has settled into his new home so well.  He is due to start agility in a couple of months time!  The only problem is that he definitely is a little Scamp!!

Discover Dogs Earls Court 14th -15th November 2009.

Our Tenterden receptionist Sandra and her young dog Saffi were asked to accompany 9 other Ditto Dog Club members do a demonstration for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Gold Award.Amongst the team were clients Nigel Foreman with daughter Sam and their dogs Hunter and Meg and Claire Stuchbury with daughter Abigail and their dogs Pippin and Liza all from Tenterden. All four demo's went really well and we will be repeating it all again at Crufts in March 2010. We had a brilliant time and so did all the dogs.
