Acupuncture:

Katie Cranstoun now offers acupuncture for your animals who may be suffering from aches and pains and other conditions like arthritis

Mites:

Mites are extremely small and generally go un noticed.  Some mites live in the hair follicles for example Demodex and others burrow into the skin like the mites of Sarcoptic mange.

Signs of a mite infection include: Itching, scratching, chewing, fur loss and scabs.  It usually starts around the ears and on the legs but can progress to all over the body if not treated.

It is best that you use a spot on that targets mites as a preventative.  Treatment of mites is quite hard and consists of either a few applications of a spot on from a vet or bathing the animal in a anti-mite wash

Lice:

Lice live on the animal for all of its life,  they feed on skin debris, sebaceous secretions and blood.  Their colour varies from beige to dark grey but can be red if they have fed on blood.  The egg of a louse is generally called a nit and tend to be white in colour.
